Tracking

Tracking involves setting up the microphones, Direct Interfaces, and other audio interfaces so that the true sound can be captured accurately while allowing the staging of the instruments and vocals to allow the creation of a nice stereo mix.

This is the first step in getting your music recorded.

At MLCRecording we have a large selection of microphones, direct interfaces, and sound libraries to fit your musical needs.  We have a large live room that can be used, as well as two amplifier lockers to help isolate sound in the live room to support live recording.  We also have an isolated vocal booth to use for vocals and as another amplifier locker.

We can track your project with ProTools, Logic Pro X, or Studio ONE.  Let us know if you have a preference.

Once your materials have been recorded it is the editing stage that will clean up the tracks and make the sound tighter and more in time with the tempo of the song.  This also includes mixing of the track to be sure all sounds are heard clearly and that the sound stage is maintained such that when you close your eyes and listen, all the elements of the recording appear on the stage supporting a well mixed stereo sound.

At MLCRecording we have a wealth of experience in the EDIT & MIX process.  With over 15 years of experience with all types of music styles, we can create a great representation of your vision.

We can track your project with ProTools, Logic Pro X, or Studio ONE.  Let us know if you have a preference.

Production includes all the elements combined to polish your masterpiece.  This provides the proper EQ and Compression steps to make your song pop.

The last process would be mastering to be sure that your songs are at the right loudness and the tone shape of your song sounds natural and clean.

Mastering a project can be tricky and we tend to look at it on simple terms.  Mastering is done in Logic Pro X, but we can do it in ProTools or Studio ONE if you prefer.
